Southeast Flooring Market
Regional flooring buying markets are underway and retailers and buyers across the country are checking in locally with manufacturers and distributors to see their newest products, equipment, technology and techniques. The Southeast Flooring Market, held in Atlanta, Jan. 8 and 9 at the Cobb Galleria Centre, saw upwards of 1,000 attendees from within a 300 mile radius. Busy, yet manageable booths and an optimistic outlook for 2019 among both exhibitors and attendees made for a positive and energetic market. “Everyone is so optimistic,” said show organizer Lori Kisner. “It helps that we do our shows the first of the year because everyone is so gung-ho.”

CFI's 25th Anniversary Convention
The International Certified Flooring Installers Association (CFI) wrapped up their 25th anniversary convention in Orlando last week. The mood at the show was optimistic, with attendees saying they were excited to celebrate CFI’s milestone while also looking forward to the future of the organization.

INSTALL Olympics at Triennial Conference
The INSTALL Triennial Conference was three days immersed in exploring how education, training and certification can make a difference with a focus on how labor, management and manufacturers can work together to eliminate industry issues. The event included the newly-introduced INSTALL Olympics where champions from each of the Five Districts of the Carpenters Union in the U.S. and Canada competed in a timed skills installation.
